Key coursework includes marine ecology, environmental management, and field-based practice.
My research interests focus on marine and coastal ecosystems, particularly mangroves, seagrass meadows, and coral reefs, and their role in supporting coastal resilience. I am interested in environmental monitoring and sustainability, especially in using ecological data to inform responsible coastal management. My work explores how human activities affect the physical condition and long term health of coastal ecosystems. Building on my background in physical ecosystem assessment, I am also keen to develop skills in marine biogeochemistry, particularly in understanding chemical changes that may provide earlier indicators of ecosystem degradation than physical changes, allowing for more timely detection of environmental stress. I am further interested in how these changes in marine systems relate to broader global climate change processes.
